Why Medellín's Most Iconic Skyscraper Is Shaped Like a Needle

Completed in 1972, the Coltejer Building (Edificio Coltejer) is the unmistakable silhouette of Medellín. Its sharp, angled summit with a monumental window on the 34th floor was intentionally designed to resemble the eye of a sewing needle and a weaving shuttle—honoring the textile industry that made Medellín the Fashion Capital of Latin America.

At ParcheTees, that same textile craftsmanship runs in our blood: from our 330g heavyweight cotton and 260g Qatar fabric to our 180g Cold-Touch blend, every garment honors Medellín’s apparel tradition.
